Unit Description

Once the characterization of the reservoir has been done correctly, conceptual development begins with appraisal plans, well concepts and their economics and finally full field development. The IPO shale well concept section considers well geometry selection combined with fracture geometry and spacing to maximize productivity and improve recovery specifically from shale formations. Having an appropriate field development plan early in the life of a reservoir can result in significant long term savings and greatly improved ultimate recovery.
