Executive Team and Founding Members
Dr. Michael J. Economides
He was a prominent chemical and petroleum engineer and an expert on energy geopolitics. He was a professor at the Cullen College of Engineering, University of Houston and the founder and Managing Partner of EPT International with a wide range of industrial consulting, including major retainers by several Fortune 500 companies and national oil companies. He was the Editor-in-Chief of Energy Tribune and Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering.
Technically, he was renowned for his immense knowledge in the energy industry and for his invaluable contribution to the various fields in the petroleum industry. He cast a commanding figure in petroleum and natural gas reservoir and production engineering. With 15 textbooks and almost 300 journal papers and articles, his works are referenced by almost all practitioners in the field.
Dr. Economides passed away on December 1st, 2013. He left behind him a huge legacy, a legacy of breaking boundaries in hydrocarbon exploitation. We at EPT International are committed to continuing this legacy from where he left off.
Dr. Christine Ehlig-Economides
She is currently full professor of petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University in the Albert B. Stevens endowed chair. She founded the Center for Energy, Environment, and Transportation Innovation (CEETI), one of four research centers in the Crisman Institute. She was attracted to Texas A&M to develop research and education in energy engineering to enable the petroleum engineering department to grow and evolve to a broader energy scope. CEETI is currently pursuing research funded by the Texas Department of Transportation and a potential collaboration with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She has successfully introduced a freshman level energy course that was approved for the core curriculum as a natural science elective and an Energy Engineering Certificate program.Dr. Christine Ehlig-Economides worked for Schlumberger for 20 years in a truly global capacity. She has published more than 50 papers and has authored two patents, and has lectured or consulted in more than 30 countries. Dr. Ehlig-Economides is internationally recognized for expertise in reservoir engineering, pressure transient analysis, integrated reservoir characterization, complex well design, and production enhancement.
Dr. Christine Ehlig-Economides received her Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University, her M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas and her B.A. in Math-Science from Rice University. She is also the recipient of Anthony F. Lucas Gold Medal (2010).

Panagiotis Dalamarinis
He has been working with EPT International since May 2011. He has a master’s degree in petroleum engineering from Technical University of Crete, Greece in 2009. Areas of expertise include well design and optimization, drilling fluids design and optimization, hydraulic fracturing design for conventional and unconventional reservoirs (Shale gas, Shale oil, CBM), production optimization and stimulation, and economic analysis of hydraulic fracturing operations.
He has over 15 scientific papers in international journals and conferences and two European and one international awards from SPE.

Grant Scott
He is a Certified Practicing Engineer and an Australian Lawyer. He earned his Masters in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas. His areas of expertise include petroleum engineering, earth sciences, natural resources and environmental management. He has successfully started, managed and grown a number of business and organizations and is recognized for his integrity and passion to drive constructive outcomes in business dealings.Education:
